I was in there looking at guitars a few weeks ago with my girlfriend. She was checking out basses. It was Black Friday and the place had a pretty good amount of customers. While we were there a kid was shouting out very offensive words with his friends. At first I thought he was continually shouting "Winger". However, he was actually shouting out "wigger". No staff told him to stop as he continued to shout this out for over 20 minutes.
I'm from TX and these guys were still able to help me tremendously. I know they didn't know of this but I'm a huge Avenged Sevenfold and Schecter fan. I collect Schecters and I'm working on my A7X collection now. I have 5 Syns but no Zacky V guitars.
Racist staff, if you aren't white they aren't too willing to help or assist you
I noticed they had one of Zackys super rare blade guitars. Not many made and an axe that always flies off the shelves. A guitar I've hunted for years. It's a " If You run into it. Snag it" kinda deal. So I did. I don't know how long it was there for but they had it packaged up and sent off within 2 hours of opening Monday morning. Thank you guys!
How incredibly socially offensive and irresponsible this was...but also irresponsible for the guitar center staff or manager not to do anything about such offensive and appaulling behavior in their place of business.
Great store for people to play instruments and the staff if very friendly.
Questionable Moral:
Saw that this location had a used guitar I had been searching for. I stopped by and was delightfully surprised that it was just what I was after. Jon in the guitar department and the manager hooked me up with an amazing deal. When I got the guitar home I starting noticing tuning stability issues and contacted Jon. They had me bring the guitar back in stating that the tech would look at it and if I was not completely satisfied with the guitar they would give me a full refund. The tech could not resolve the issue and I wanted the guitar, just fixed. Jon, after working with the manager then offered to send the guitar back to the manufacturer and pay to make it right...which I agreed to. At this point they could have taken the easy way, handed my money back and hung the guitar on the wall for someone to purchase who was not as sensitive to tuning. Thanks to Jon and management at Lehigh Valley Guitar Center I have a killer guitar for an outstanding deal that they went way above and beyond in customer service by sending the guitar to the manufacturer, paying for it to be repaired and shipped to my house!!! I would recommend anyone looking for a musical instrument to go to this location as it is clear they are not just looking for a sale but have customer satisfaction as their focus!! Thanks to Jon and management for their effort!!
